Services
- Adoptions: our basic policy is to find homes for unwanted animals. The adoption fee provides an animal, collar, leash, ID tag, shots (except rabies), worming, physical exam by a Vet., neutering and ownership documents.
- Cruelty Complaints: Trained agents appointed by the county court investigate and prosecute, if necessary, all mistreatment, neglect or abuse cases reported.
- Humane Education: We welcome groups or individuals to the shelter for instruction in any aspect of animal care or welfare. Speakers are available for school classes, civic groups or organizations on animal subjects and humane responsibilities.
- Lost and found: A file of lost and found animals is maintained at the shelter. Call if you find one, call if you lose one. We have been able to get a lot back where they belong.
- Pet Therapy: We can provide animals for visits to shut-ins, Call the shelter for information.
- Dog Obedience: A professional trainer gives group classes at the shelter on a regular basis. Call the shelter for schedule.
- Euthanasia Upon Request: Certified technicians are available to provide this service when it becomes necessary.
