Case Number 7

A 35 year old woman noticed fullness and a questionable mass in her left breast on 3/1/81. She reported that pressure from her bra was painful. This patient's grandmother had bilateral breast cancer.

This patient had been on birth control pills for many years. The mass appeared during the last week of her menstrual cycle. Surgery was done and revealed a diagnosis of duct cell carcinoma with 2 positive lymph nodes. The mass for frozen section was 4 cm. but another area adjacent to the biopsy showed additional malignancy.

This patient had the following receptor values: Progesterone-0 Femoles, Estradiol- 4 Femoles.
