Case Number 10

A 64 year old white female was seen in May 1986 presenting with a mass that had appeared about 5 weeks before patient was seen. The mass appeared in the same area where a breast biopsy had been done in 1972.

The patient's mammogram was normal and the ultrasound was echolucent. The patient was taking Estrovis 100 mg daily as well as monthly estrogen injections.

Biopsy on 5/27/86 showed duct cell carcinoma plus fibrocystic disease. The mass excised measured 5x5x4cm, but much residual tumor was found among the cysts.

Receptor values- Estrogen-177 Femoles, Progesterone- 994 Femoles.
